Kid's festival in Cocuk Kasabasi

As you remember the weather was nasty previous week so we had to postpone the festival for Saturday!But don't be sad because we will show you the photos now!The festival was full of happiness, kids, smiles, laughter and joy!:))

Play "The ugly baby duck"

For this moment in our kindergarten we are preparing play! Results of our labout you will come as soon as you come here!

The ugly baby duck

AUTHOR:  Oh Look! Mummy duck is sitting on some eggs. One !Two! Three! Four eggs. Listen!

DADDY:                “Quack! Quack!”

“ What’s that?”

BABIES(3):          “quack, quack, quack!”

AUTHOR:             Three baby ducks!

                Mummy and daddy duck are very happy!

BABIES:                               “Hello mummy. Hello daddy.”

DADDY:                “ Hello baby ducks!”

AUTHOR:             But look!

                One more egg!

                It’s a big egg!

UGLY DUCK:       Tap! Tap!

MUMMY:             “Listen everyone!”

UGLY DUCK:       Tap! Tap! Tap!

MUMMY:             “Oh dear! What a big baby duck!”

BABIES:                               “What  an ugly baby duck!”

“It isn’t yellow!”

AUTHOR:             Baby duck is sad. Baby duck goes away.  POOR BABY DUCK! Baby duck sees the chicken.

UGLY DUCK:       “Hello!”

                “Are you my mummy?”

AUTHOR:               But the chicken says

CHICKEN:            “Cluck….cluck! No! Not me! I’m a chicken!”

AUTHOR:             Baby duck sees the mouse.

UGLY DUCK:       “Hello!”

                “Are you my mummy?”

AUTHOR:               But the mouse says

MOUSE:               “Eek….eek! No! Not me! I’m a mouse!”

AUTHOR:             Baby duck sees the frog.

UGLY DUCK:       ‘’Hello!”. “Are you my mummy?”

AUTHOR:             But the frog says

FROG:                   “Ribbet! Ribbet! No! Not me! I’m a frog!”

UGLY DUCK:       “Hello!”

                “Are you my mummy?”

AUTHOR:               But the snake says

SNAKE:                “Eek….eek! No! Not me! I’m a snake!”

AUTHOR:               Baby duck is sleepy. The frog(3) ,the mouse(3)  and the snake are singing  a song.

AUTHOR:             It’s morning and… oh look! Two swans! Daddy swan and mummy swan. They are looking at baby duck.

DADDY SWAN: “Honk! Honk! Wake up! Wake up!”

MUMMY SWAN:“Look in the water!”

AUTHOR:             Baby duck looks in the water and she sees a baby swan!

UGLY DUCK:       “ Honk! Honk! LOOK AT ME!I’M A SWAN!”.

AUTHOR:             The baby swan is very happy!

UGLY DUCK:       “Hurray!”

“I’m a swan! I’m a swan! I’m a swan! Honk! Honk! Honk!”

FROG:                   “Ribbet! Ribbet!”

“She’s a swan”

MOUSE:               “Eek! Eek!”

“She’s a swan!”

AUTHOR:             Look, here are mummy, daddy and baby swan and here are the animals.

Mummy duck:  “Quack! What a beautiful baby swan!”

BABY DUCKS:     “Quack! What a beautiful baby swan!”

CHICKENS:          “Cluck! Cluck! What a beautiful baby swan!”

SWANS:               “ Honk! Honk! Honk!”

Parents attendance days

Previous week our parents were able to see what usually is going on at English lessons!And also they were able not only have a look but to take an active park in it as well!Everyone had fun!Everyone was happy and satisfied!:)

We can't wait to organize it one more time!:))

Hello,spring!

Last Saturday our kindergarten had shown the performance of percussion and signing made and prepared by our magnificent teachers and of course kids.Every citizen could enjoy this show which was in a big city mall!

The show was dedicated to spring!

Educational seminar for parents

In the beggining of this year our team made the seminar for the parents where we had shown them HOW we make the lessons of English and HOW to support their kids at home amd improve kid's and their English as well not just in the classrom.
It was enjoyable. funny and cognitive for each person in the conference hall!

P.S. Even for us:)

Also that day we had special guests in  our school. The representatives from the Trinity college which provides international exam for kids and adults. So best of luck for us!:)

"Me and my friend" exhibition

Such an honour to participate in this kind of projects and such a great opportunity for kids to explore the world and meet new friends from all over the world for the kids from the very childhood!

Today we had a great chance to have a skype conference with our country-partner Spain!
We were really glad to see your kids,kindergarten and of course teacher!
Our kids presented to each other song which they have learnt
with their teacher before!
Cocuk Kasabasi can't wait for another Friday to see you again!!!

Our resources

         This year Cocuk Kasabasi decided to use  different resources in comparison with previous years. In 2014-15 academic  year we are going to use  “Big jungle fun 1 &2 ” of Richmond publishing  with our 3 and 4 - years old kids and “Show and Tell 2 ” of  Oxford university press with 5-years old kids.

         As an extra resource for story telling we have chosen "Jamboree" publication.We  believe that story telling improves children's English more than any other activity!

         We do hope to create young thinkers with great futures so we are challenging ourselves together with kids! Because the aim of our kindergarten is to help to provide to our children with a rich and varied curriculum that will develop their ability to learn effectively as well as providing a stimulating and challenging introduction to English!

English and camping! Nice combination!:)

During  the summer camp 2014 Cocuk Kasabasi’ kids were  going on camping once a week. There they  had different entertaining games and activities. Definitely I will tell you about our fun English activities where we were able to practice different topic vocabularies and word-combinations. Under the text you can see some vocabulary which we have practised with kids. The camping is very productive way for English acquisition and at the same time to have rest with kids!

·         To collect leaves

·         To stay in  line

·         To follow one’s friend

·         To collect(to pick up) flowers

·         To play hide and seek

·         To find smth.

·         To stay in the shade

·         Etc.

Back to school

          Several days ago all kids came back from summer holidays happy and full of energy! We had a lot of different activities, surprises and games  for them! Of course that important and ground-breaking day for us we haven’t  forgotten about English language!
          We have played simple but marvellous games  where we could practise such word combinations as “Hello! My name is…” and “How are you? I am fine, thank you!”. So from the very first day children were introduced with English teacher and language.

          Definitely they liked it! Their happy faces you can see in the video!:)

How does the sport influence English in our kindergarten?

In this article we can answer this easy question and share some photos from our sport and pool activities with  you.

During the summer camp we were able to make pool activities .It helped  kids to improve their health and knowledge of English because the  English teacher was attending   every activity so kids were able to hear not only Turkish commands but  English too.

During  sport  and pool lessons we practiced the  following vocabulary:

·         Hands up!

·         Stand up!

·         Sit down!

·         To run

·         To stop

·         To jump

·         To breathe in

·         То breathe out

·         То stretch

·         Repeat after me(friend,teacher)

·         Make one line

·         Right,left

·         Move your … (different parts of the body)

·         To swim

·         To dive

So kids have learnt this vocabulary and word combinations  successfully and with fun!
Kids are happy –teachers are happy!:)
